Modcloth Makes Wedding Dresses Now!

I love all things funky and vintage style, which means I often spend time checking out their website and looking at their various super neat offerings. In an exciting turn of events which would have really come in handy when I was getting married, Modcloth now has a nice little collection of wedding dresses. I have been checking out their page, and there's not a single one over 300$ US, (Under 400 CAD with our terrible dollar at the moment)

If you ask me, that's not a bad deal when you take into account how much a wedding dress can put you back these days! Here are the three that I liked the best:

This dress is entitled the "Ready, Set, Romance Dress in Ivory" and I think it has a sort of bohemian elegance to it.

I feel like it would go very well with a destination wedding with a boho feel. Imagine it with a beautiful flower crown, maybe barefoot on a beach with a simple bouquet.

It goes up to size XL, which isn't a huge size range, but is touted as having stretch so there might be some wiggle room size wise.

I am addicted to all things lace so everytime I see a lace wedding dress I just do a little nod and go "Yes. Yesssss."

The dress retails for 150$USD, so is not bad for those looking for a simple dress for a small boho styled wedding.

Next up is one I thought might be nice for courthouse elopements, or perhaps as a reception dress.

I thought this dress had a sort of 60's feel to it, with the more contemporary lace patterns and the semi-transparent sleeves.

Called the "Vow do you do? Dress in White", it would be great for more of a vintage loving unconventional bride. I could see this with like a beehive hairstyle and some super colorful heels.

I sort of like how the dress is both modest but still short enough to have a bit of sex appeal.

It took also goes only to an XL, which is a bit of a bummer, and does not appear to have any stretch, which could be a bit of a problem.

It retails at 200$USD, which is a bit on the pricier side, but I just thought it looked extremely cute.

Style wise gets an A+ from me.

Finally, a dress that goes all the way up to 4X, which is pretty great for some of the lovely curvier brides out there.

I think this is probably the most contemporary dress I liked, but the lace and the cap sleeves really got me. I also enjoy the nice almost mermaid style of the dress, without being too tight and restrictive.

Called the "Velvet Rope Ready dress in White", it does go up to 4X, but does not provide stretch so i'd definitely contact Modcloth with your measurements to see if it should fit you.

I think it would look elegant in either a church or outdoor wedding, it's just a classic shape and style that's appropriate anywhere. And long enough that if you wanted to rock out flats or sandals all day to save your feet for dancing, it looks like it wouldn't be much of a problem.

It retails at 175$USD, which seems pretty reasonable to me.

Keep in mind with all online dress purchases that it might not work out. I would always contact Modcloth (which has people willing to help out) with your measurements before placing the order to make sure that you're ordering the right size, and keep in mind with the lower price comes the knowledge that you might have to hem or subtly alter the dresses to fit you perfectly, so keep that in mind.

I'm not affilliated with Modcloth in any way, I just thought their dresses were of interest to the budget minded bride!
